Hannigan 'Til Dawn

Jodie Foster's Army (JFA for short) were among dozens of hardcore bands to emerge from the American southwest during the 80s. While geographically displaced from the scene, JFA were heavily influenced by the surf, skate, and music scene of Southern California. Along with rapidfire songs and no-nonsense lyrics came the surfer localism. Bluntly put, it was locals first, and locals only whenever JFA showed up.

Being from SoCo, I identify with the localism of years gone by. I may not adhere to methods and actions as strict as JFA and their hardcore cohorts, but I feel that the area where I grew up is worth being proud of. This is why I named this peculiar little blog after a JFA song.
